Coach Juli Benson is coaching some of the finest middle distance runners in the US, as well as advising up and coming athletes for the NIKE NIL program.
RunBlogRun spent some time with Coach Juli Benson, a 1996 Olympian, and her techniques on how to teach the hard lessons of our sport, this one, in clip 3 is on Tempo Runs.
Tempo runs are critical for the development of young middle distance runners. Coach Juli Benson offers a few suggestions, and emphasizes the individuality of athletes, new to the sport and elite to the sport, on tempo and their workout needs.
