For the first time, Taliyah Brooks made the US team to a World Champs. Taliyah took second in the US champs with a score of 6,319 points. Taliyah won two of the seven events.
Taliyah is rated for a tie for the sixth-best point total in the World Athletics list, with her score of 6,330.
Taliyah Brook’s story is one for this World Champs. At the Olympic Trials in 2021, Taliyah Brooks collapsed on the second day when the heat was over 100 degrees. The meet was postponed during that session, but Taliyah was already.

During the interviews post-event, Taliya showed much emotion. She had been waiting for five years to make another US team. Her Olympic Trials (she is in litigation with USATF over the experience) were a nightmare, but this year, with her second place and 6,318, put her in good prospects for Budapest.
