Jacksonville, FL – USATF athletes returned to national championships on Saturday morning in Jacksonville, Florida at the USATF 15 km Championships presented by Toyota. Emily Sisson (Phoenix, Arizona) and Clayton Young (Provo, Utah) ran to victory in the first race of the 2021 USATF Running Circuit presented by Toyota.

Registration Opens Monday for 52nd AJC Peachtree Road Race. Limited In-Person and Virtual Options Available for July 3-4 10K Race

ATLANTA – MARCH 12, 2021 – Beginning Monday, runners and walkers from across metro Atlanta, all over the country and around the globe can lock in their Fourth of July weekend plans. Registration will open on March 15 for a limited-capacity, two-day running of the AJC Peachtree Road Race to be held in-person and virtually on July 3 and 4. The in-person 10K event in Atlanta will implement strict COVID-19 safety measures. Besides the expansion to a two-day event designed to reduce crowd size, participants can expect health screenings, face-covering requirements and limited-contact aid stations as well as limited pre- and post-race gathering. Registration will remain open through May 1.

DES MOINES – As announced last month, the 2021 Drake Relays presented by Xtream powered by Mediacom will include a high school division. The Blue Standards, known as the qualifying marks that guarantee acceptance for Iowa high schoolers in the Drake Relays when entered in the meet, have been announced.  When one of the marks is attained, an athlete knows that he or she will be #BlueOvalBound. In addition to these top athletes, coaches should also enter other team members outside of those marks for consideration on the accepted entry list. 

Surging away from Simon Kariuki and Hidkazu Hijikata at 36 kilometres, Kengo Suzuki won the Lake Biwa Marathon in Otsu, Japan, on Sunday (28), clocking 2:04:56 at this World Athletics Elite Label race to break the Japanese national record.

Eliud Kipchoge will make his final marathon appearance prior to his Olympic title defence at the NN Mission Marathon in Hamburg on 11 April.

INDIANAPOLIS - USA Track & Field (USATF), the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC), and the TrackTown USA Local Organizing Committee announced the release of the updated competition schedule for the 2020 U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Track and Field, that will take place June 18-27, 2021, at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon.

Olympian Sets Half Marathon Personal Best; Abdisamed Abdi Wins Men’s Race - ATLANTA – February 28, 2021 -- Atlanta has been kind to Molly Seidel. Almost one year to the day after making her first Olympic team here, she shattered her personal best and recorded the fastest half marathon ever run in the state of Georgia by winning the Atlanta Half Marathon at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Sunday. Despite nearly 100% humidity on a balmy February morning, Seidel crossed the line in 1:08:29 which places her eighth on the U.S. all-time list.

ATLANTA -- FEBRUARY 19, 2021 – One-year after making history at the unforgettable 2020 U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Marathon, Olympian Molly Seidel returns to Atlanta to headline a fast field for next Sunday’s half marathon race at Atlanta’s Marathon Weekend hosted by Atlanta Track Club.

 

In the fourth and final American Track League meet at the Randal Tyson Indoor Center, in Fayetteville, Arkansas, six-time Olympic gold medalist Allyson Felix opened her 2021 season and high school standout Jaylen Slade set a new high school indoor record.
